The Aulonocara Rubescens or Ruby Red Peacock is not native to the waters of Lake Malawi, neither is it a hybrid like the Aulonocara Fire fish. The Ruby Red peacock has been line breed to get it's bright red colour. This is a very popular colour and sought after variant of the Aulonocara sp. "Stuartgranti Maleri"
